Look out for another new feature at the Midlands Air Festival next year, when we create our balloon tethering arena!
You will be able to get within touching distance of some of our historic special shaped balloons and see how they are laid out and inflated. Our expert balloon commentator will be on hand to explain what’s going on and you may be able to get to talk to some of the crews about the Hot Air Balloon Experience.
We have named this the Cameron Arena after Don Cameron who is the grandfather of modern Hot Air Ballooning in the UK. The Cameron Arena will be situated on the Eastern end of the crowd line fence which is to your extreme left as you look at the airfield.
Other attractions may be added to the arena programme later.
